Amazon.com Review
Weber's Go-Anywhere gas grill adds convenience to the fun of camping and tailgating. This compact unit has a surprisingly generous grilling area--large enough to fit four medium steaks. The push-button ignition system makes lighting the fire easier than ever, and the patented heat-distributing Flavorizer bar ensures that your food cooks evenly and efficiently every time.
You can lock the lid into place with the pivoting legs and carry this lightweight grill around in one hand. Built-in lid hangers allow you to rest the lid on the side of the grill to create an effective barrier against the wind. The triple-nickel-coated steel grate is easy to clean, and the porcelain-enameled steel lid and cooking box are built to last.

Best Go-Anywhere grill by far (2010-06-20)
I used a Weber Go-anywhere grill for years - for camping, beach parties, etc. It finally wore out, so I bought a cheaper version to replace it, made by some other company - it was, indeed, "cheap." I bought another Weber and what a difference! This is a sturday, reliable little grill. I love how compact it is - so easy to take anywhere.
Small grill does fine job (2010-06-14)
I am a charcoal cooker and wanted a small gas grill for those summer days when I need a quick burger. This Weber fills the bill, easy to set up, fires every time on the first push, cooks evenly, and the food tastes good. Construction is light-duty, but I think it will last quite a while if protected from weather. The "flavor bar" works as advertised. As a cooker I would say it is on the hot side, that is, the grill seems hotter than my charcoal fire usually is when the meat goes on. So I have to watch things a little closer, and it works better with steaks and burgers than with stuff that you would normally cook a little longer, like chicken or a tri-tip. Even on low setting it is pretty hot. I did three chicken leg quarters once and they came out OK but lots of grease and fire. Two would be better. Fuel wise I am satisfied - I use the 16 oz. propane canisters and get about 6 meals from one jug. That is good enough - can't see why would I buy a small grill and then have a big ol' propane tank sitting next to it. Keep in mind, it is not for company, but great for a two or three folks on a nice summer evening.
Handy little grill (2010-06-06)
This is a great little grill. It is easy to use, easy to clean and cooks enough meat for a family of six. It can be thrown in the back of the car and taken on picnics or for tailgating. Using the small propane bottles makes it easy and hassle-free. It is a great value for the money!
A Great Grill After a Hurricane Knocks Out Your Power - Our 2nd! (2010-06-04)
We just bought our 2nd Weber Propane Gas Go-Anywhere Grill, with standard shipping from Amazon - and it quickly arrived ahead of schedule. We have had our first one for about 6 years and wore it out. This is a GREAT grill; just the right size for 2 people on a regular basis, with enough room to handle grilling for several guests as well. I'll never go back to charcoal - it's too messy and a hassle all around. Weber makes an excellent product with much higher quality than another cheaper brand of this type and size of gas grill. And it is well-designed. What do we like about this grill besides using propane? 1. Simplicity. 2. Ease of portability (the legs swing up and lock for carrying) means I can easily store it in the shed between uses, out of the weather. It's also great to throw in the trunk on a trip. (Just allow it to cool down before going into the shed or trunk.) 3. Inexpensive 4. Sturdy 5. Push-button ease of lighting. 6. Heats up quickly for "lid-on" grilling. 7. Food tastes GREAT. 8. EASY TO CLEAN. 9. And the smoke vents in the lid allow the grilled salmon or steak aromas to escape and make the neighbors jealous. Our first grill came in handy after hurricanes when our power was knocked out. The first priority was to heat water for coffee, OUTDOORS OF COURSE. After the coffee it got plenty of use cooking food. Amazon's current price of about $54.00 is a bargain. Very few retail locations in South Florida carry this particular grill. Home Depot and Lowes both carry Weber grills but for some strange reason not this model. They are missing the boat because they could sell a ton of them if they were properly promoted. The closest one I could locate in a store was about 70 miles away and the price was about $62.00. So Thank You Amazon for a great product at a great price! We cooked our first steak on it the other night and it turned out great! P.S. The best place to buy the small tanks is Home Depot or Lowes, 4-to-a pack gets the cheapest price for them. Look in Plumbing if they are out in the barbecue section.Weber 1520 Propane Gas Go-Anywhere Grill
Awesome Little Grill!! (2010-05-21)
I just purchased this little grill to primarily use at the beach and while camping. Before actually bringing it out in the field, I was able to test it a few times at home; first by cooking some stuffed jalepenos and a few hamburgers, and second by cooking a couple small strip steaks. The stuffed jalepenos and hamburgers came out great, and had lots of flavor (actually better than my full sized Ducane gas grill). I'll admit that this grill does not produce the heat that my full sized charcoal grill does, therefore I didn't get the perfect sear on my strip steaks that I'm used to. Nonetheless, the steaks came out quite tasty and my wife commented that they were some of the best I've cooked. In the little Weber's defense, I think the propane tank was getting really low so that could have very well reduced the available heat. The green 16.4 oz propane tanks work wonderfully in this unit so I just picked up a 4-pack of those from Sam's. Another thing that surprises me is how well this grill is made, taking into account the cost. I'm an engineer and am therefore always looking for flaws in the quality and design of everything and I immediately noticed that this is not your cheap run of the mill store brand grill. The steel seems to be of a thick gauge, coatings are of very high quality, handles are well designed and insulated, stainless steel burner, propane valve seems to be of decently high quality, etc. I couldn't have asked for much more for the price! In summary:
Pros:
Inexpensive
Cooks well, with excellent flavor
Well designed and high quality
Very portable
Cons:
Doesn't seem to get quite as hot as a larger grill
Effected by wind (remedied this by placing in a large disposable aluminum cooking pan with sides)
Small cooking area (you can't have both a compact grill and a large cooking area)
Hope this review helps!
