Weber Griddle (2010-09-20)
I was shown this product by another camper who was watching me assemble my new grill at the campground. Seems to be something of a cult following with the RV crowd with these weber Q grills.
Once he showed me the griddle, and the beer butt chicken cooker, I imedelatly had to have one.
First thing I did was get on amazon, find the best deal and ordered both. Typical Weber high quality product with the particlar design aspect that allows you to grill and griddle at the same time. Awesome for making sausage and eggs for breakfast when camping.
While the entry cost into the Q system is a little steep, I wish I had purchsed these products years ago as I now understand why they are well liked and prevalent with the RV crowd.
The beer butt chicken holder is a must have as well.
Good for bacon (2010-09-17)
Cooked up 2 pounds of bacon on this, worked good. There are little pouring lips on the corners so you can grab the whole griddle with the provided handles, scoot the bacon to one side and tilt (very much under control)pour the grease off to save for cooking other things. Quite heavy, probably about 10 lbs. We store it in the box it came in.
This Griddle Works Great (2010-08-20)
This Griddle not only fits the Weber Q grille perfectly but it cooks perfectly. Just put it on and close the lid to get it hot and then cook away. It holds the heat and food doesn't stick. Makes perfect eggs. I love mine and reccomend this to anyone. It can also be stored inside the grille for travel
Works Great (2010-02-15)
Works great--fits nice on my grill and now we can take only the grill camping and it does it all!!
its okay but was hoping for something more (2009-07-22)
Maybe its me but for some reason I thought this was a replacement piece for the grill grates BUT it rests on TOP of the grates.... Also keeping the grill at a set temperature is tough. If you close the lid the grill will be like 600 degrees ... so leave the top open but keeping the grill at 375-400 for any length of time will be hard.
The grill itself is nice , good quality. it was smaller than I thought about 2/3 of the q 100 grill space and rests on top of the grates.. using a laser thermometer I measured different temps on the grill depending on what side your on the middle was hotter than the sides , etc... so if your grilling you may need to splash water on the grill to get it down to temp if it heats too much up on you....
quick cleanup. pretty heavy.
