Cover does not fit all Performer Grills (2010-05-13)
Had I carefully read all of the reviews before I ordered, I would have discovered that this cover does not fit Pre 2005 Performers. I gave Amazon only 3* because they did not disclose that there is a dimension difference between the 2 grills. You have to order the correct cover directly from Weber for $50 + shipping and handling. I found however that if I carefully cut 3" off the handle that this cover would fit just fine and was easier than going through the hassle of sending this cover back, not to mention the extra dollars for the correct one. I figured that these covers don't last forever and since the newer one is $20 bucks cheaper, it was worth modifying the grill!
I love my new Weber (2010-04-20)
It is very easy to assemble and very easy to use. Love the fact that i can just add the coal, press the button and voila. I have already grilled the most delicious meals for my husband and myself. I would totally recommend this grill to anyone. It also looks good on our patio :-)
Leaves a lot to be desired. (2010-04-10)
Right off the bat, this cover is for 2005 and newer grills. The picture Amazon has provided (as of the time of this writing) does not correctly depict the actual item. I've added a picture with the correct item on a newer Performer grill.
I also have a Weber 3780001 Genesis S-320 Gas Grill with a Weber 7553 Premium Cover, and was expecting this cover to be of similar quality. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
While the cover fits well over the Performer, it isn't quite "to the wheels", which leaves anything you might have on the bottom rack of the cart exposed to the elements.
More disappointing, though, is that there's nothing in the cover to secure it to your grill. There have been some strong winds here lately, and while nothing's blown the cover off entirely, a decent gust of wind will make it hop up a good 5" or more if you don't put a brick or similarly heavy object on the work space.
Frankly, for that this cover costs, you shouldn't have to do that. It's basically the same price as the Genesis cover, which has velcro straps. While the Performer doesn't have a design that makes those type of straps practical, at the very least, they could have stitched in a few weights, or straps to let you secure the cover to the bottom rack of the cart.
I've purchased a few grills with covers, and countless Weber and Weber Style accessories, but this is the first Weber product I've bought where I felt kind of ripped off.
Fits great (2010-03-27)
This cover fits like a glove on my weber. I bought a cover for my grill four and a half years ago and it needed to be replaced as the Arizona sun really is hard on this product. I was happy with it before so I bought the same one again. I did notice that this cover is a little thinner and a different material that is more flexable.It also does not have the valcro fasteners at the bottom but I don't think they where needed anyway. Hope it holds up as good as the last. My grill still looks new and I use it a lot.
